The log cartage is complete at the top of Moerangi Road, with only a few self-loading pickups to take place over the next few weeks.
Uplift of logs is set to begin in the current harvest area in Whakarewarewa.
The first load of logs will be on the move as early as this afternoon, 19th February 2025.
Key information:
• Operational Hours: 6:00am – 11:00pm, Monday - Thursday.
• Operational hours: 3:00pm – 11:pm, Sunday.
• Route: All logging trucks will use a 1-way loop, from 8-Mile Gate Road in @ Hill Road - Nice Road – Pipeline Road – Hill Road, as marked on the attached map.
Timberlands kindly requests that all forest users exercise caution in the area, obey all posted signage and instructions, respect any restrictions, and comply with traffic control staff —they are there for your safety."
